Rodeo Drive is interesting to see, but unless you can afford to shop in the most expensive stores in existence there is not much to do. There is a very pretty fountain and just seeing the street and shop area is kind of neat. As for a family activity I would say no. It would not have much to offer children. If anything I would say this one should just be a stop for mommy and daddy just for the sake of saying you saw it. I guess part of the fun is never knowing who you might see out shopping.
I have only been at Rodeo Drive around Christmas time. My two daughters loved it, everything is decorated with so much taste that even young children will enjoy it. The Christmas tree by the stairs is beautiful.
I definitely admired the baccarat chandeliers hanging from the poles, and enclosed in a case for protection.
If your tween is interested in fashion, you have to take her for a walk down Rodeo Drive! No trip to LA would be complete without it. Take a leisurely stroll past the brands she has no doubt heard of: CHANEL, Christian Dior, Roberto Cavalli, Valentino, Prada and many more. Window shopping at these fine shops is exciting to a future fashion designer or fashion editor!
Be sure to watch for the The Rodeo Drive Walk of Style® plaques embedded into the sidewalks along Rodeo Drive honoring style legends for their contributions to the worlds of fashion and entertainment.
