Adjacent to East Broad Top Railroad, the Rockhill Trolley Museum has twenty-six trolleys and streetcars, including cars from Philadelphia, Johnstown, Harrisburg, Scranton, and York. Nine trolleys are currently operational, including open cars, closed cars, an interurban car, a snowplow, a sweeper, and a Philadelphia PCC. You can take a more-than-3-mile ride on a restored trolley, passing the Rockhill Iron Furnace.
Like the National Trolley Museum near Pittsburgh, the Rockhill Trolley Museum is staffed by volunteers who love what they’re doing. Volunteers here are members of Railways to Yesterday, Inc. Your trolley ticket is good for unlimited rides on the date purchased. Most days, you can try out two or three different cars. If you time it right, you can meet the returning East Broad Top Railroad train, passing just a few feet away.
