Rock Barn Spa

"A Day Away"

While I wouldn't recommend a trip to the Rock Barn Spa with kids, it is a nice way to enjoy a day away without needing to be apart from the children overnight. My husband and I spent our last anniversary at the day spa, and we returned to our kiddos relaxed and renewed!

The spa is small but was not crowded. The therapeutic waterfalls were incredibly relaxing. My husband and I enjoyed the couples massage, complete with champagne and chocolate covered strawberries.

We ate a light lunch at the spa. The food was good, but not quite as elegant as one would expect for a day spa. It amounted to a small salad bar with wraps and pasta salad. We also ordered delicious fruit smoothies ... yum!

If sipping cucumber water in the pool isn't your style, the golf course looked lovely. I don't know a 5 iron from a putter, so I stayed in the water! I have been to more elegant (and also pricier) spas, but it was a good value and all in all, a nice day.
