"Wading Pool Heaven and More"

The LARPD's Robert Livermore Community Center offers plenty of programs and benefits to area residents, including a plethora of summertime activities, classes, and basic facilities.  However, the Aquatic Center at this facility is stunning, and a real destination for families.

The large wading pool is open from April through September, and allows youngsters to wade in from zero depth so that they are completely comfortable in the temperate water.  The wading pool sports a large play structure in the middle, complete with a slide and spouts that spray water at the touch of a button.  For children who can swim, and who are above the height requirement (which I believe is 48 inches), there is a large water slide.

Also at the center is a large standard-depth pool with regular lap swim times.  Picnic areas are available alongside the pool, and there is a cafe on the premises with quite a few options for both healthy eating and for summertime treats.
