A 5 minute walk takes you to the base of a waterfall called Roaring River Falls
This waterfall is located in the Cedar Grove area of Kings Canyon NP and is a must see for everyone visiting the park. There is a short paved trail from the parking lot to the falls which shoot out of a granite gorge into a beautiful granite bowl. This isn't the biggest falls you will ever see but the scenery is incredible and truly makes this falls a site to see.
A beautiful waterfall in Kings Canyon that is worth seeing! It is wide, rushing, and forceful. The hike is easy for young kids and is not too long. Bring water for drinking because the trail can be hot in the summer. We have often scrambled over the rocks downstream from the waterfall and taken a little "swim". I can hardly call it a true swim because the water feels like it has just melted from a pool of ice. Very cold and very refreshing!
