As a family we make the trip to the dells each year a few times and at least one time in the summer we make sure as a family we visit Riverview Park and Waterworld. The prices are very affordable for both the water park and the amusement park area $10 for all day 6 years old and older and for under 6 the cost was $5 all day. The kids love the go carts, the space shuttle that sucks you up the walls, the inner tube water slides, the wave pool, mini golf and many other activities that are offered on the park grounds. I would recommend visiting the Riverview Park and Waterworld if you are planning on visiting the WI dells area from Memorial day through Labor day.
I Love this place and so do my girls everytime we are in the Dells we have to go here for at least one day. My girls also Love the fact that they have dry rides as well. So you can do your getting wet in the morning early afternoon and then you can dry off change clothes, and hit the dry rides they especially Love the Ferris Wheel. I remember also going here when I was younger with friends and there families. Very Fun.
My family really enjoyed this waterpark. While it is smaller than a lot of other ones in the area, there are also fewer people. We found it more conduicive for our young family than the larger water parks, like Mt. Olympus. It's not terrible pricey as far as waterparks go and they have lots of little rides for young children and slides and such for them.
This place is cheap, but so are the waterslides and rides. All the rides seem very old and unsafe to me, nothing I'd allow my children on. The waterslides and very standard, my kids had fun on them but they weren't overly impressed. Great for a family looking for something more laid back to do with a lower admission price. But definitely not for thrill seekers!
This place ilooks on the verge of bankrupty. We went the summer of 2010 and the waterpark area was only open for 4 hours everyday. They have a go-kart area and some other run-down arcade games. I will say if you have young children (under 5) and you want to do a cheap waterpark for just a couple of hours this would be a grea alternative to the more expensive waterparks.
I think for the price, and safety that this place is old and worn down. I would not take my family there, as they don't seem to up keep their rides. I went a few years ago and was really disappointed. You have so many other waterparks to choose from and would choose those over this one any day even if it costs 10 more...do not go here.
We visited Riverview with our kids ages 3 and 11 months. It was perfect! There were no lines for the water slides, and both of my kids could go on most of them with an adult. There was a wave pool for everyone, and 2 kiddie areas to enjoy. We were there on a Friday, and all of the water activities closed at 3 p.m., which we thought was strange, but no big deal.
There is also a giant sandbox with toys for the kids to play in, and bumper-boats for really small children. They have several types of go-carts to ride--my 3 year old was able to drive one by himself. We were dissapointed to find out that ALL of their amusement rides are now closed. But there was still lots to do.
The best part of Riverview is the price. Kids under 3 are free, ages 3-? were $5 and adults were $12. Not too shabby. And if you are a parent who doesn't want to participate, but who still wants to watch your kids, you can come in to the park as a spectator for free. The park was not crowded at all, which was a big plus. We went to Riverview after we visited Noah's Ark, and even though we had lots of fun at Noah's Ark, Riverview is a bigger bang for your buck. I think kids over the age of 10 would be pretty bored, though.
Riverview Park has an old-time feel to it, with vintage-style buildings and stores (in appearance and style). It is laid out in the old boardwalk-style, and there is a wide variety of shops. There are carnival-type rides as well as games like you would find on the midway at a local county fair, with ridiculously large or ostentatious prizes to match. The more modern aspects include go-kart racing and a waterpark that boasts a wide variety of attractions and rides. I would definitely go to Riverview before I would Noah's Ark, if only for the reason that the lines are not ridiculously long and I have not seen Riverview serve alcohol in family-friendly areas like I have at Noah's Ark.
