"Hippo Playground "

The Riverside Park Fund has played a significant role in developing child friendly landmarks along Riverside Drive since the 1980's.

Hippo Playground on 91st and Riverside Drive has equipment for children from 6 months to 12 years, including high swings, low swings, multiple jungle gyms with bridges,  monkey bars, slides, you name it.

In the summer time the Playground becomes a water wonderland. Bring a bathing suit towel and some toys!

Every Halloween there is a parade led by bag pipes and hundreds of kids from the area congregate at the playground in their costumes. Snacks and hot cider are provided.  

Benches are lined throughout the Playground for folks to eat lunch and lounge.
