Well, my first year living in Tennessee someone told me I HAD to go to the Moon Pie Festival. Once my friend and I finally found it, we ended up staying hours (even with our 3 kids 3 and under). We had a blast exploring the various craft shops and handmade craft booths. Yes, we each ate a moon pie & bought a trinket or two. The worst part was the heat, and the crowds. It was a very crowded festival! There was a nice playground to escape to, and the young girls had fun stretching their legs at the playground. My advice: good walking shoes, stroller, and a fun attitude with patience in battling the crowds!
Even if you do not like RC or Moon Pies (which we all do, right?), this is still a must see town!! Bell Buckle is a charming town with antique shops, the famous Bell Buckle Cafe and several other must-sees. It is a family friendly festival and a sweet treat!!
