"Shopping and Food. What more do you want?"

I would give this a 5 star rating, but it probably won't interest your kids much beyond the food.  However, if you like to shop unique and everyday stores, then this is the place to visit.  There are many name-brand stores, every type of food imaginable, plus there are many unique stores to find just the perfect gift or souvenir to complete your visit to Boston.  I would recommend at least strolling through, if not planning to stay a couple of hours.

"Fun place to spend an afternoon"

It's a fun place to be on a Saturday afternoon. Usually there are street actors/ artists out front. Some of them are pretty wacky. They usually generate a big crowd. Inside has lots of little shops and a food section with pretty good and cheap eats. The building and surrounding area is historic and interesting. There is also a museum that is sometimes open and free! Nearby is the Farmers market. Don't miss this on Saturdays! Even if you don't buy anything is fun to walk through and watch the vendors and locals. Some of them are real characters!! You can also combine this with a Freedom Trail walk. The red marked path of the trail is nearby.

"i liked it lol"

well while the younger kids didn't see much to do, i enjoyed it. While there  i could tell them something about the history (i.e. see the old buildings, etc.).  Walking up and down the streets and seeing the different stores was enjoyable.  This was historical and full of conversation starters and a way to wear out the kids with walking.

"Not as much for kids to do"

My husband and i went here for our 3rd anniversary.  We did go when it was very cold, so that could have made the difference.  We did do a lot of walking and there were some very neat shops.  If kids aren't in to shopping, then there wasn't a whole lot here that we found to do.  There were a couple of little shows, but that was it.

"BEST Food & Shopping"

Quincy Market has the best food options you could hope for. Everything from sweets/candies to pizza to seafood to smoothies. You name it, it's in there. A little expensive but worth it. The Marketplace is surrounded by cart shops and big name stores. It's a great place to spend the day when it's nice out. There are also tons and tons of street performers, clowns, mimes, bands, etc.

"Foodie Haven!"

I love Quincy Market, it is amazing and there are so many great shop and places to eat. The food is amazing, just rows of places to eat, so many amazing choices. I recommend walking down the entire inside area before choosing a place to eat at, because there are so many great places it is hard to choose one. I love the Clam Chowder in a bread bowl and the lobster mac and cheese, so amazing. And after you eat, there are tons of shops and street vendors to buy from. I love this area and can spend a few hours there just shopping and eating.

"Good place to eat!"

This is a great place to stop when you need a bite to eat.  Although you won't really find any 'deals' when it comes to the food, there are many options to choose from and everyone will be happy!  It's always busy but you can usually find a seat somewhere!

"OMG"

too many food to choose from, to little time and not too many space in the stomach. A MUST go if you are in Boston. Fun for the family, too, with the street vendors and artists.
Absolutely LOVE this place. Almost all ethnic food is available, Indian, Chinese, Japanese, American...my most favorite, the New England clam chowder

"My one stop"

This was my one stop while I was in boston and I am so glad I made it! The kids had such a great time here, there was plenty for us to do, the sweet shop was a definate hit the Ice Cream was so yummy! We eneded up eating dinner somewhere a little further down the road at a Thai Fusion restuarant which was so good. This is a must see stop while in Boston!

"Very busy, but fun."

Everyone, and I mean EVERYone stops at Quincy Market. At the same time. It's crowded--but for good reason. It's a one-stop shop for some decent eats, and a good amount of seating, although it doesn't seem to be enough, with enough patience you can probably find a place to plop and slurp down your bread bowl of chowder. The street performers are plentiful and entertaining.

"Something for everyone!"

We were amazed at how many restaurant stands are in this place! You want it, they've got it. We enjoyed Pizzeria Regina, Boston's famed brick oven pizza...not as good as NYC pizza, but was pretty delicioius. We also had to try Boston Chowda Co., but have had better chowder elsewhere. We went during lunch and finding a table for our entire party was a little difficult.

"Shopping!"

Need I say more?  The kids will enjoy picking out some souvenirs, but over all I don't think it's a great place to bring my crowd of 4 kids.  They like the sweat shirts, and wanted to buy all sorts of toys.  But once the budget limit was reached they bored quickly.  And we had to leave to more interesting things.

"Fun with the Family"

Beyond Faneuil Hall is copper-domed Quincy Market, in the center, and the North and South Market buildings on either side. The granite Greek Revival building has lived a long life as a marketplace.
When it was built in 1826, the east portico was right on the edge of the harbor. The brick North and South Market buildings were built in susequent years to accommodate the growing needs of the city’s meat and produce wholesalers.
In the 1970s the city hired an architectural firm to restore the buildings and their surrounding cobblestone streets into an area that would be suitable for a pedestrian shopping area. Obviously, the project was a success; many tourists now come to Boston just to see the marketplace, and many locals come here to eat lunch and people-watch.
The Quincy Market building itself is mostly devoted to take-out food vendors who sell everything from frozen yogurt to overstuffed deli sandwiches to pizza-by-the-slice to raw shellfish.
Once you and your family have purchased your meal, head toward the large center area, which is full of tables, chairs, and benches. The North and South Market buildings hold shops and restaurants, from the kitschy to the upscale. Outdoors, regardless of the temperature, you’re likely to see several street musicians, jugglers, mimes, and other performers. It’s a fun place to spend an afternoon.

"Strolling characters from history"

Interesting stop in Boston. Inside the market there are the usual tourist stores and food vendors - nothing I thought was outstanding. Outside however we encountered several actors portraying historical figures. This was interesting for the adults and also entertaining for the kids. The man playing Ben Franklin the day we were there was quite good.
