We went to Pump it Up last Friday morning. It's a location for birthday parties, but they have an open gym usually on Fridays and some Saturdays. They have large jumping structures that are blown up with air, and also some slides for the kids to play on. It's targeted age group is probably 3+. There are some small activity toys and ride-ons for younger children, but you wouldn't want them crawling around on the large structures.
There is a blow up obstacle coarse, and climbing mountain with a slide. The kids enjoyed going down the slides the most! I even tried it once, but only once. You need to remove your shoes, and be sure to have socks, that's required.
I would recommend the children wear sweatpants, and maybe a long sleeve tee shirt. It provides for a better experience sliding down. If you have a short sleeve shirt on, like we did, you run the risk of getting "plastic burn." It's like getting a rug burn, but from the material of the blow up slide. It hurts! I got one, and one of my sons got one.
They have water bubblers in the rooms with the equipment, and vending machines if you want snacks.
All in all, it was fun, but I'm not sure if we would do it repeatedly. The open gym runs for 1 hour 15 mins, and that was enough time for us.
