"Good Educational Afternoon"
A good educational afternoon trip is only about 2 miles north of town on Highway 87. Take along a picnic lunch when you visit the Progress Energy Visitors Center. You’ll want to allow about an hour to see the thirty hands-on displays on energy, electricity production, energy conservation, and nuclear power.
