A small 12 lane bowling alley in the Presidio, the former Army base now part of the National Park system. Not not much in this place has changed over the years, but it is still a decent and serviceable bowl-a-rama. Bowling lane bumpers are available that can be raised for little kids. The scoring screens also have fun animations for the kids. It's got your standard just okay bowling alley pizza but also a good assortment of beers. Additionally, there are a few video games, if your kids (or you) are so inclined. For San Franciscans, it's also the only game in town.
This little gem of a bowling alley located inside the San Francisco Presidio comes off as a small town bowling alley ---- and why wouldn't it? That's what it used to be after all. One of the former army base amenities that used to be a privilege of being based there, Presidio Bowl is smaller than your average bowling alley and it is fun! I've been here socially and as an outing during a business conference where my company took over the whole place. Both were great! The staff is friendly, the jukebox a nice touch, a wide variety of beer choices and bowling alley fare are offered. And, unlike other areas of San Francisco the parking is also plentiful!
