"Fun with the Family"
Teach your kids to become expert fisherfolk at the Port Lavaca Fishing Pier. The pier is actually the old highway causeway and is now one of the most popular and sucessful fishing spots along the Texas coast, its lighted span jutting 3,202 feet into Lavaca Bay. The family can also cool off with a swim here or take a boat out. The pier has a bait shop, a snack bar, and restrooms, and the city park at the base ofthe pier has a boat ramp and picnic area.
