"Excellent state park"

Pocahontas State Park is a large, well-kept park with a lot to do. There are many walking trails at various levels of difficulty. There are great trails whether you want a short hike with the family or a more challenging hike. In summer, you will find swimming and picnicking as well as camping and day trips. This park is just a twenty-minute ride from the action of Richmond. A great outing nearby!

"Fun with the Family"

This 7,604-acre park is only 20 miles south of Richmond, but it offers the serenity of Swift Creek and Beaver Lakes and their surrounding forests. Come here to stroll, fish, swim, or hike. The park also offers camping and cabins, along with interpretive programs in the summer, such as guided nature hikes, campfire programs, and chidren’s activities.
