"My three year old loves this one best"

Even though my husband and I haven't allowed our children to watch the Pirate series of movies, our second daughter LOVES LOVES LOVES this ride. She couldn't get enough of it. Our first daughter was very timid of this ride at first and she cried for a bit, but loved it in the end. Our middle child was ready for the ride to begin with, never hesitant. Such a fun ride.

"cool"

This ride is a can't-miss.  Stand in line for hours, go ahead, you'll be glad you did.  This is one of the rides where I'm sure to get the fast pass, because it's so worth it.  The pirates are timelessly cool, this ride has been around for a while now and it's still cool every time you go there.  A small part of me fears for my life each time I go there, it's so convincing.

"one of my favorites!"

love this ride.  If you have small ones, you have to decide if it's too scary.  Lots of darkness and gunfire, smoke, chasing scenes, etc.  Plus one dip that is a little fast.  Otherwise, it is a slow boat ride through lots of cool scenes.  Love how magical this one is.

"Pirates of the Caribbean"

The Pirates of the Caribbean ride was so cool inside but kind of chilly in the ride because of the water I think. The dog with the key in it's mouth looked so real and the prisoners looked real too! The treasure looked so bright, real and there was so much of it like about a mountain full. There are some ramps where the boat runs down it feels so cool like you never know when it is coming but unless you sit in the font for the boat.

"Some questionable sightings."

While this is a great ride for adults, I don't know about how suited it is for kids. The ride itself is very fun and exciting, everyone's screaming, there's one big drop at the beginning where people at the top get wet, it's quite fun. But there are some sightings that are questionable, for example drunk people, shooting, fighting... You might want to think twice before taking your kid to this place. Also, the song YO HO HO that's played will be stuck in your head for a week!

"A Pirate's life for me"

Thismism favorite spot for our whole family.  My daughter first rode it when she was two and was fine with the ride itself although the noise from the cannons was a little startling for her. The dips in the beginning are just enough to feel like you are on an adventure without being too scary.  It's also a nice stop on a hot day.

"Always a favorite!"

This ride is a must! We always ride it once, sometimes more if there is not a long wait (only happens in the off season). The song is so catchy and everyone sings along. It was a little scary for my 3-year-old the first time. The second time she did fine. We just had to warn her when the drop was coming.

"Yo Ho Yo Ho..."

LOVE THIS RIDE! Our favorite ride as a whole family-everyone can go.  The music is so catchy, lots of people are singing along.

The line moves pretty quick, usually only a 15 minute wait.  In the summer, part of the line is shady and has drinking fountains.

Fun, fun pirate adventure.  Even better, that over the past few years, Jack Sparrow and other characters from the Pirates movies have been added to the ride.

"Great for Everyone!"

Pirates of the Caribbean has always been one of my favorite attractions at Disneyland. As a child, we would always ride it multiple times. It is very nostalgic for me. Now that I have kids, I am glad they also enjoy it and we often ride it over and over. It's just one of those rides you have to go on and never get tired of. The sights, the sounds and the smells are unique to this attraction. I like the addition on Captain Jack Sparrow and my kids like to try and "find Jack" everytime. We have been on this ride with friends and their daughter who was 4 at the time, did get a little scared because of all the skeletons. If you have a young child who is sensitive to these types of images, you may want to talk to them ahead of time so they will know what to expect. By the end of the ride, she was fine. I think the darkness of the ride contributed to her fear. Once she realized nothing scary happened, she was fine. I have seen many babies enjoy this ride with no problems. This is another one of those attractions that can get very busy during the day. A great time to head over to POTC is first thing in the morning. We have arrived early on and had little to no wait time. This is especially true on hot summer days. On a warm day, there is nothing better than that first drop...Yo, ho, Yo ho a Pirate's Life for Me!!!

"Great time had by all!"

This ride is a definite must do every time we go to Disneyland.  In fact, we usually do it multiple times!  Appropriate for all ages.  It really fits in with the movies even before the newer upgrades to the story.   A great place to relax while enjoying a boat ride through the Caribbean.

"Pirates with a toddler"

Our 22 month old son struggled with Pirates of the Caribbean.  He sat on my lap and clung to me for most of the ride.  He didn't cry, but was unsure about the first two small dips that the ride takes and he never really recovered.
The ride has recently been updated to include characters from the films.  As an adult, I love the additions and thought the ride was fun and detailed.
I've enjoyed this ride since I was a kid and it's a "must do" every time I visit.

"Classic favorite for everyone"

Opened in 1967, the Pirates of the Caribbean was around a lot longer than the movies we all love with Johnny Depp, but its still one of the best rides in the park.  With boats that run entirely in water that can hold quite a few people, the line moves quickly.  Entirely in the dark, with fake "fog", "fire" and cannons, it can be a little scary for the little ones.  Keep the kids towards the center of the car.  There are a couple of drops but nothing too big, and although you may get a splash or two, they are small.  Typically the only time you could get wet might be from a drop of water and not a splash.  Keep your eyes peeled for Captain Jack Sparrow and Davy Jones.

"Very detailed ride"

The Pirates of the Caribbean ride is so detailed that my family and I like to challenge ourselves by pointing out things we didn't notice the other times we've been on it.  And as in all rides it fund to try and find all the hidden Mickeys.  Hidden Mickeys are objects shaped like Mickey's head hidden throughout the park.

"Classic Disney"

This is one of our favorites every time we visit Disneyland. It is a ride that is fun for the entire family. I have had a few little ones be scared at points, especially some of the little drops, however usually our kids have loved it! Even when they were really young. I love the new additions from The Pirates movies as well!

"Such a fun ride!!"

We love this ride! The pirates are hilarious and it has just enough surprises that this momma doesn't freak out but the boys love it. By far one our most favorite rides. It is rather dark though so just be careful if you have anyone who is afraid of the dark

"One of the best rides"

Pirates is by far one of the best rides EVER!! It is one of the most ingenious, fun, creative rides I have ever seen. I love that its inside, It is perfect on a hot sunny day to cool off or on a rainy day to get out of the wet weather. My boys went on this ride over 20 times in 3 days. It's a must!

"Our family's favorite ride"

Since our children were small, this has been our family's favorite ride. We always ride it first on our first day there. We now take our Gandchildren on it. The lines always seem really long, but they move fast and it is well worth the wait. The lines are really short in the late evenings before closing time. Our favorite part of the ride is the dog holding the jail keys in his mouth and the pirates trying to get them. We actually bought a set of the keys as a souvenoir.

"Pirates, yo ho!"

Before all of today's fuss over pirates, Pirates of the Caribbean was there to entertain us, Walt Disney's foresight in motion.  This trip through caverns on boats in the dark is a great way to cool down on a hot summer day, with lots of colorful activity to see.  All ages enjoy it but you may have to explain some of the scenes to young ones.  It's been updated so even if you've seen it before you want to see it again.  There's a drop at one point, with very little splashing, the kids hoped they'd get wet and didn't.  Because it's a very popular ride the line wait can be said to be long according to the signs, but usually goes much faster.

"Classic!"

We start and end each trip with a ride on Pirates! We love the environment, it's like being transported back in time. The music is so fun and we love to sing along. Everyone can go on it and it even has some fun dips for the thrill seekers. We also love the movie references, it's great to see captain jack sparrow
