"A great intro to amusement park rides"

We use this ride an an intro. for all our youn guests. It is slow but has a few surprises with several drops and a little of that "splash" kids love! We took our 2 year old on it recently and she loved it. It is long enough that you get to relax but not so long that you are bored. Everyone should ride Pirates atleast once, and if it was up to me we all would!

"Yo-Ho Yo-Ho a pirates life for me"

I can't count how many times I have been on this ride.
Despite having all girls, it is one of our favorites.  Little kids and toddlers might be fearful of some of the pirates in this ride.  The new addition of the smoke projected pirate ghost from the movie (I don't know his name) in between scenes can be more than most kiddos want to see.  When you see the fog screen coming towards you, just have them close their eyes or look away.
Fans of the movie can of course find Captain Jack now throughout the ride, although he is a fairly new addition.  His animatromics are much better than the older versions!
The line for this ride always moves quickly and we try to ride this ride a few times each time we go to the park.
*No fastpass currently for this ride.  Even babes in arms can ride this ride, so come enjoy with the whole family!

"A "Must-Ride""

This is one of my favorite rides at Disneyland.  I still vividly remember sitting next to my cousin as a 10 year old and floating through the dark, watching the fireflies and listing to the plucking banjo playing.  Then the thrill of dropping down the chute came and the fun began!

My kids have also really enjoyed this ride, although the darkness and the first drop can be a little scary... but super fun too! There are skeletons, pirates, shooting cannons and drunkenness displayed throughout the ride, so just sing along, "A pirates life for me, yo ho!" and enjoy.
