In Elk Grove Village you will find our very own buried treasure, "Pirates' Cove" This children's theme park is as entertaining today as when it was built over 25 years ago. Open from June through August, the Park is designed to stimulate and encourage the creative exploration and imagination of children between the ages of two and nine. Be sure to plan your visit to come see us this summer. Pirates' Cove recomends wearing socks and gym shoes to play.
Socks and gym shoes recommended.
It is very clean, well maintained and has plenty of activities for small kids. Its small, so its much easier to keep track of young kids, has friendly staff and plenty to keep the kids busy for hours. train rides, a carousel, inflatables, a playground and boats. my kids enjoy the the small boats that they can steer in a foot of water.
I say 2-6 because it is a place for small children or if your under 4 foot, even though my 9 yr old is a shorty she still had fun but did admit it's more for smaller kids and my 4 yr old loved it, you can complete all activities within an hour because we went at 3pm when they closed at 4 but it was still nice, they have a picnic grove for families to sit and eat. So if you want to wear out your tiny tots this is a great place for a couple of hours. They also have a park area for kids 2-12.
This pint-size amusement park is a cute place to take your tiny tots and younger grade-schoolers. Administered by the Elk Grove Park District, the facility has a clean, attractive appearance. Brick walkways wind through the landscaped grounds, with beds of marigolds, geraniums, and other flowers lending a splash of color. Trees are tall enough to afford some shade, and there are benches where the adults can sit to wait for the kids.
