I came upon the pirate adventure while looking for kid-friendly things to do in Cape Cod besides go to the beach. It was a fantastic experience and well worth the money. From the start the kids have a blast. On the pier they are dressed up like pirates, given pirate names, and get a "tattoo" painted on. The ship takes you out into the harbor for an elaborate adventure, complete with a treasure hunt. The lead pirate engages the kids in teamwork activities such as putting together the treasure map (a huge puzzle on the deck). Be prepared to spend a few extra dollars on pirate garb to take home. Only one word of caution- remember that once on the ship, you can't get off until the voyage is over because it does leave the pier. Bring snacks to fend off crankiness for the younger ones. This is best for ages 4 and up.
We took 6 kids and 6 adults on a pirate adventure, the adults had just as much fun as the kids. While the adults relaxed and enjoyed the view, the kids were entertained by the crew. The kids got to use water guns to shoot the evil pirate off his raft, and followed a treasure map to find an underwater treasure. We had a blast!

If your kids like pirate adventures a la Peter Pan, complete with painted faces, sailor sashes, sailor odes, and swashbuckling yarns, then all aboard!
