Hubby, one-year-old daughter, & I went last Friday night. We got calamari and gator with fries. The calamari was way, way, way too chewy and the gator a bit too spicy for my taste buds. I swear there were more fries than meat in our basket and it was $17!!!!!!!
This year, the Pensacola Seafood Festival is celebrating 32 years. There are fantastic kid’s activities in the children’s area. High school organizations volunteer during the festival and put together arts and crafts and activities for the younger children. The festival itself and the children's activities are free, but you can't leave without trying the food. The Seafood Festival highlights the fantastic seafood we have around the Gulf. You can choose food from many vendors ranging from shrimp, alligator, mullet, oysters and much more. Be sure to try something you haven’t ever eaten before. There are over 200 arts and crafts vendors selling their wares. Do some early Christmas shopping while you are there. Lines for the food can get long at peak times but the kid will be able to find a spot at the table in the children’s section.
