The Patuxent Research Refuge offers hiking with the chance to see some interesting wildlife.
This 2 mile circuit hike is jogging stroller friendly and great for toddlers and preschoolers. The hike begins at a pond and then follows along Cash Lake where there is a beaver lodge. This refuge provides a lot of opportunities to see wildlife. In addition, the National Wildlife Museum is located at this Refuge.
