"Good history lesson"

We had only our oldest with us on this trip. It was funny since he thought all the Navy men he saw were daddy. It was a good way for him to learn how dad lived. Recommend for those whose kids can do stairs. The gift shop has a lot of neat things in it but is difficult to navigate with a larger stroller. They also sell food here, and as the case with a lot of these places it is somewhat steep so since we lived not too far away we waited till we got home to eat. They also offer a dinner cruise from here, I have heard they are good but never personally had the chance to go on one.

"Patriots Points"

This is at least a half day event that is worth the money.  You can tour the aircraft carrier, go on a submarine, and a battle ship.  They have a flight simulator that is great as well.  It is located right in the harbor area so it is easy to get to also. They have a military movie for you to watch as well. My boys absolutely loved this activity.

"Fun for older kids!!"

Patriots point is a blast for kids and adults. Very educational. Lots of walking and climbing steep ladders, had a couple of accidents and scares, very hard for younger kids to walk around. Don't take a baby here. Kids love seeing the boats and learning something, they also like going on the deck and seeing the aircrafts.

"Patriots Point"

This was an AMAZING day for my son!  He loved every minute of the tours of the USS Yorktown and the submarine.  He is still talking about eating lunch on the ship.  While we were there, the tour guide mentioned that they also offer camping for groups there.  I am planning a camping trip there with my son's church group now.  You need at least 10 people and it's a little pricey ($60 per person) but I can't wait!

"Kids love the USS Yorktown"

Patriots Point is where you'll find the USS Yorktown, an aircraft carrier used during WWII. This ship is amazingly fun to walk through with kids of all ages. (If you're claustrophobic this may not be your place.) You get to tour the majority of the ship and see where and how these navy men lived. My kids thought this to be one of the coolest places we've been. It does get hot, so be careful about going during the hot days of summer. Afterward, there is a very cool submarine to tour as well. Kids, especially boys, love this pace.
