My family loved Jungle Island. We did the Lemur Encounter and it was an amazing experience. While it wasn't cheap, it was definitely worth it. The park itself is very clean and you can get up close to many animals, not like most zoos. If you go, I'd definitely recommend the lemurs!
Our family had a nice time visiting the Parrot Jungle but I'm not sure it was worth the money spent. Admission was quite pricey. And considering the exhibits and the shows were not incredibly impressive, we were a little disappointed. However if you are willing to pay the price tag, the kids will definitely enjoy the wide range of bird exhibits and fun shows.
Jungle Island is a "themed zoo." Personally I though all zoos had a theme: animals, but this one has a theme and mission which becomes apparent when you start reading the placards. They only have animals that follow their theme. Basically it is a zoo with a $30 price tag. It was very nice, and we enjoyed our time visiting it. My 8 month old especially enjoyed the talking parrots, but $30 for a zoo is beyond overpriced. If I had known how much it cost before I went I would not have gone.
This is a great family place. We went while they were having a promotion that was if you went within this month you got free admission for the whole year. Great time waster to spend some time with the family!
Took visiting family weather was perfect and we had a nice day! It was very expensive for what it is. The shows are very good but there are just 3 that much to see to jutify a $32 adult admission PLUS a $7 parking fee. The park was o.k. There wasn't much to see. You can feed the parrots and watch the shows that they have throughout the day, but i would never go here again !
Parrot Jungle Island opened in June 2003 as an animal attraction, featuring trained birds, a serpentarium, Manu Encounters in its aviary with 200 free-flying birds, dance and musical presentations in the Jungle Theater, a flock of real pink flamingos glamorizing
Flamingo Lake, a rare plant nursery, a petting barn, and a kids’ area called Monkey Bars.
This is a wonderful park to take your little ones. Its not that big, so you can finish it in a relatively short time. There are so many animals to see. From Kangaroos to a Liger. They have lots of interactive areas. They have a petting zoo and an area to take pictures with kangaroos. They have a small park for the children to play.
The minute you walk into the park, they have an area where you can take pictures with tons of parrots. They put them on your head, shoulders, cradle them in your arms. They will put them anywhere you have room. Its a great picture to share with family and friends. The only bad thing is that they do not let you use your camera to take pictures. Only bad part is that only the park photagraphers can take the picture. It forces you to purchase the photos from the park.
