Just 40 minutes from the Salt Lake City International Airport, Park City Mountain Resort is a family friendly ski and snowboard mountain resort.
In the summer, Park City has other exciting thrill rides. Slide down the Alpine slide across 3,000 feet of luge-like track. You can also go on Alpine Coaster or Ziprider. Mountain biking and hiking are other favorite activities.
Park City offers ski programs for kids 3 and a half in full day group or one hour private lessons. Families will also enjoy the tubing at Gorgoza Park complete with 3 lifts. Kids can also rent mini snowmobiles or go on a sleigh ride.

We aren't big skiers, so I can't tell you how the slopes are, but I can tell you that the resort offers fun activities year round. There is always something to do, hiking, the alpine slide, zip lines, year round. It is beautiful at the resort in the summer and fall, so enjoy it all year round.
We like PCMSR, it is fun and a great activity during the winter. It can be pretty busy at times, but there is usually plenty of room for everyone to play! They have some great restaurants too, so when you are done for the day you can get everyone a bite to eat before you head home!
We went here this last winter to try out the skiing, but did not take the whole family, which was good, because this place was expensive. Luckily we had our own skiis, etc. and did not have to pay extra for that. The runs were well groomed and beautiful, and I believe this was the place for the 2002 Olympics in Salt Lake, but I think you are paying for THAT and the name vs. any actual better skiing and/or snow. Same with Main Street in Park City, it's fun to walk up and down and even eat at the Pizza Place there (forgot the name!), BUT it's just too expensive to actually shop there unless you're rich!
Park City is an AMAZING place to ski. You will have an absolutley wonderful time. Everything there is top of the line, the service is on point, and you will feel like you totally splurged, because it's kind of a ritzy place. The one issue would be the costs. It is definitly not your budget ski resort. So, if that's a concern this place may not be for you.
We ski here about once a year and always get lost. The maps are actually quite good, we just get turned around. That being said, we always find our way to the bottom and have a good time. Easy to find resort, signs to get there are good.
Summer activities are a lot of fun. Word of advice-be careful on alpine slide if you are 200+ pounds, my husband got some nasty road rash from falling off the sled going around a corner. We were there for a family reunion with family from tiny to 70 y.o. and everyone had fun.
Park city is a great ski resort but offers fun for families in the summer. From the riding the ski lift up to ride the alpine slide down to hiking the many beautiful mountain trails, to mountain biking and zip lining. Sometimes they offer some fun carnival type activities. For even no money at all you can find something fun for the whole family! Beautiful!
Park City Mountain Ski Resort is the perfect place to ski or snowboard! I love it there! It is very convenient, close to everything and easily accessible. It is especially a snowboarders heaven with the park and halfpipe. My favorite resort in Park City! Very kid friendly with a First Time lift for beginners. They always have great events on their halfpipe and you sometimes get to see Sean White tear it up!!
We accidentally found this spot in Park City and had a blast! Park City was meant to be only a place to sleep on our summer trip corss country but we were so wrong! The Park City Mountain Resort has ziplining, alpine slides, apline coasters, kiddie rides, and mini golf. You could easily spend all day here an never get bored. I imagine it is much different but equally fantastic in the winter! if you are heading through Utah make sure to add Park City to your list of places to go. You won't regret it!
