If you live in Utah and want to learn how to ski or snowboard, check out Park City Mountain Resort’s Start Now program.  Start Now is a program for any beginning skier or snowboarder living in Utah over the age of six.  The program includes ski or snowboard equipment rental, a 4-hour lesson, and lift access for only $25.  Participants can choose any combination of equipment rentals, lessons and lift access for a total of 5 times in the season at this same price.  I signed my 10 year old son up for the Start Now ski program.  I registered online where I was also able to schedule his first lesson in February.  Many dates were already filled up – especially weekend and holidays.  Therefore if you are interested in this program, be sure to book your dates early.   Be sure to arrive early in order to find parking, locate the Start Now rental office and get fitted with your equipment.  My son was a little apprehensive and uncomfortable after getting all of his equipment fitted as the ski boots were quite awkward.  However, I turned him over to the instructor hoping he would get over his apprehensions.  I was pleased to see that the class consisted of only four other children which would allow for more individual attention from the instructor.   I returned a few hours later to pick my son up from his lesson where I found him hanging overhead riding the ski lift with a big grin on his face.  He had learned how to ski in 4 hours, all of his apprehension was gone and all he could say is, “when can I come back?”  I would recommend the Park City Mountain Resort’s Start Now program for anyone in Utah that wants to learn to ski or snowboard.  This program is not just for children.  Start Now would be a wonderful way for the entire family to learn to ski at a very reasonable price.
