Pan Pacific Park

"Fantastic Playground"

This park has an amazing playground with (from a kid's perspective) what seems like miles of jungle gyms to run/jump/climb. It's a great low-key way to pass a couple of hours time with the kids. Parking is free. Also, there's a little known architectural gem in the park, The Los Angeles Museum of the Holocaust. And The Grove is just across the street, so you could even squeeze in some shopping and snacks at the Farmers Market.
