I happened to stumble upon this park while looking for an alternative to Garden of the Gods and it is amazing. You would never believe that such beautiful rock formations exist out in the Colorado plains. Walking trails meander around the geological hoodoos and canyons that even the smallest family member will appreciate - it is just that awe inspiring. Picnic tables and benches are sparsely scattered throughout the park for dining and resting. The trail is a gravel path which is not stroller friendly, so plan for the kids to walk or ride in a pack carrier. There is an overlook area at the top of the park with a picnic table where you can park or park below at the park entrance. The park entrance is the only location with a restroom. A great place to go for a weekend outing!
