"Fun with the Family"
You can rent kayaks and paddle upstream for an up-close view of the Alakoko Pond. Outfitters rents bicycles, too, and offers a huge variety of guided tours on both modes of transport. Most popular are the Waimea downhill ride, Kokee mountain-bike trip—in which guides explain the native plants, special geographic features, and local legends—and a bicycling/snorkeling tour. In addition to normal adult- and child-size bikes, they also rent trailers that hook up to a bike to accommodate a small child.
