That's what we did... looked at them. My young boys were much too afraid to offer them any food, nor want to get close to them if they came near the fence. I suppose it was a good experience for them to be seeing live ostriches and emus, but I don't think that they remembered it at all.
The thing I remembered the most was the delicious strawberries I could purchase. So good!
