Highchairs are available at the market.
This is a fabulous place. Not only can you do a little grocery shopping for top notch fruits, vegetables, nuts, candy, meat, & bread (farmers market style) There are amazing restaurants here as well. A must is the Brazilian Meat place, I'm vegetarian and there are still plenty of really good choices. Also come for breakfast, the crepe place is heaven. All the seating is outdoor, some is covered some not. There are also small gift shoppes too. After you eat or do a little shopping you can keep walking to the Grove. (They are right next to each other) A beautiful out door mall. There is usually live music being played in the little grass area by Nordstroms. There are tons of shops and kiosks, even more restaurants...enough stuff to keep you busy all day. It's nice to bring the kids out here, because it's outside, they can be loud, run around, and be kids. Also while your enjoying some music they can play on the grass area with all the other kids that are there enjoying the day.
This is a huge Farmer’s Market. There are so many different cuisines to choose from. My favorite is the chocolate beignets…yummmmmm yummmmm. Make sure to look around first…then you can choose what to eat. It is a permanent market…so a lot of it is covered. And then of course you have the benefit of being right next door The Grove. So you can hit two birds with one stone.
It can be a little crowded and sometimes the space is tight…especially if you don’t travel light. If you have little ones that run off…this might not be the place for you…yet…
It is very interesting to see the fish mongers and a lot of other things that you might not get to see at just a produce farmers market. Sometimes they also have a great selection of more exotic fruits too.
I don’t know if it would take you all day to walk through…but it’s definitely worth the trip…especially if you combine it with The Grove.
This is the Westside’s answer to downtown’s Grand Central Market, with seventy restaurants, produce stands, and retail stores thriving since 1934.
