The Opryland Hotel is not only a hotel, but a tourist destination. Open to non-guests, the Opryland Hotel also has restaurants ranging from fine dining to a walk-up food court. The hotel is beautifully decorated during the holidays, so be sure to stop by then.
Our weekend at the Opryland was memorable and fun for the whole family. The staff was helpful and accomodating and eager to assist us with our stay in Nashville. The hotel is beautiful with so much to see and do. Keep in mind that this place is HUGE so plan to do lots of walking. We had to take our hotel map everywhere we went so that we could find our way back to our room. The restaurants are expensive, but the shops were fun and fairly affordable.
After being remodeled due to the May 2010 flooding in Nashville, Opryland is back and better than ever. Yes, it's a pricey hotel but it is worth it when you want to splurge. Honestly, there's nothing like the Opryland Hotel because it isn't just a hotel; it's like a mini-city inside. You can ride a boat inside, even! Unfortunately the adjacent mall (Opry Mills) has yet to be repaired from the flooding.
My family enjoyed our stay at this beautiful hotel on our stay in TN for a wedding. We could not imagine staying anywhere else. The hotel's interior is so gorgeous and the staff are so welcoming and friendly. This is one of my best hotel stays in my life and i have stayed at many. The price was good for being a very fancy upscale resort hotel. The rooms were spacious and clean. The kids loved the pool area and enjoyed being outside most of the days. I was amazed by the gardens they are so beautiful and I felt like I was in a fairy tale. I would recommend this upscale hotel for anyone looking for a resort in the Nashville TN area. I will definitely be staying here again when i'm back in the area.
The Opryland Hotel is a hotel you will never see anywhere else or compare to its beauty. They just recently opened back up due to renovation and I can't even imagine how much more beautiful it probably looks now. This hotel offers many different rooms from simple to luxurious. The rooms are decorted fancy and have a warm feeling when you step inside. They also have beautiful gardens outside and much walking if interested. They have top of the line service and amenities available as well. 5 start hotel all the way.
A beautiful hotel. I found that I could spend hours walking around the indoor gardens and atriums of the hotel. Plus there's a water fountain that is set to music with several shows daily. Our room was spacious and luxurious. It was the kind of vacation that you never want to end.
We stopped in here to take pictures in the atrium. It was absolutely gorgeous! There was also a really neat jazz club that served food with a live singer and band. It was relaxing and fun and an wonderful spot to take pictures. The kids will enjoy the pool area and the indoor boat ride, but be warned that stroller navigation is tricky. Our baby-backpack was easier when we went exploring.
Our family has made two trips to the Opryland Resort, both of which occurred during the Christmas holidays. It is quite a magical place. On the second trip, we stayed on property and enjoyed all of the wonderful holiday ambiance that is Opryland. The Snow! and Ice! events are must-do events for our family every December. If you have not visited the Opryland, I would highly recommend visiting, even if it is just for a walk through the resort. It is utterly amazing. Our daughter is already begging to go back!
Even if you don't plan on lodging here, you have to stop by and see this beautiful hotel. There are tons of plants and water features to enjoy. You can even take a indoor boatride! There are several restaurants to choose from, however it can get expensive with the little ones. Parking isnt too bad either.
Every Christmas we go here to look at the lights and decorations in the hotel. My 3 year old daughter really enjoys it! They usually have activities set up for children to participate in. The only downfall is that it's not very stroller friendly! Lots of stairs and escalators, but not enough ramps and elevators!
Opryland hotel is gorgeous. It is pretty pricey but they have some rooms that are a little bit more affordable. It is especially beautiful during Christmas. They have all kinds of lights and decorations. You dont have to stay there to be able to go inside and look around. It is truly beautiful in there. For a special occassion i think it would be a great place to visit.
This hotel is more expensive than most that we stay at, but it's worth it! The hotel itself is a trip worth taking, even if you have nothing else to do in Nahsville! There are boatrides offered in the hotel, gardens, and shopping. There is a fountain show every night that my four year old loved. If you have the opprotunity to visit around Christmas, do it! The hotel is decorated beautifully with ice sculptures, lights and other displays, and there are horse-drawn carriage rides. The only hotel I know that can keep a family busy!
Since our family is in Nashville area. We make sure to visit there for Christmas time. Even though we have never stayed in the hotel, we love to visit and walk in the hotel every year. One year, we did scavenger hunting in the hotel garden. We had a blast and four of the children enjoyed running around there. There's a boat riding runs inside the hotel to see around too. Since this is a HUGE hotel, we just watch out our kids not to get lost.
The Opryland hotel is not just a place to stay overnight - it is an amazing adventure for the entire family! The hotel is so large that it is divided into sections and each section has an enormous enclosed courtyard with gardens, paths, water, restaurants, shopping, and activities. Boat rides, water falls, free entertainment throughout the day, and miles to roam will keep the kids entertained just inside the hotel complex. Our little one loved the fountain show in the Delta area every night with lights and music! Visit during the holiday season for lights, shows, outdoor nativity display like no other, and Santa appearances that are sure to make your kids grin from ear to ear. Spring for the garden view rooms with a balcony - our family snuggled on the patio early in the morning and watched the lights in the quiet every day - a splendid start to our day! You really do not have to leave the hotel. They have a large indoor (and outdoor pool) with lap lanes as well as open space for the kids to play and a lifeguard always on duty (bring a change of clothes with you for the locker room so you don't have to trek back to the room in wet garb). Food can be on the pricey side for a large family, so bring snacks to help between meals. Parking can be a ways away from your room, so take advantage of the friendly bell service or use the portico near your room. Even though the room rates can seem a bit high, you won't have the extra expense of entertainment because there are so many fun things to do here!
True, the prices here aren't the cheapest thing ever. BUT, with Opryland, the prices are reflective of the experience you're going to have. Staying overnight at the hotel is an amazing experience, particularly sitting on your balcony and looking INTO the hotel at all the foliage! The restaurants have superb food (though again, generally not cheap), and their special exhibits, particularly around the holidays, are first rate. Regardless of whether you celebrate Christmas or not, the lights at the hotel around the holidays are incredible. And their annual ICE exhibit, full of ice sculptures, ice slide, etc. is a huge hit with kids. This year they have outdone themselves again, having re-opened after the horrible floods in May. The whole place is even more impressive than before, and there is a new SNOW exhibit that includes a snowball fight area, a build-your-own igloo area, a snowman building area, etc. - all GREAT and very fun especially for kids who don't usually get a lot of snow. Can't say enough good things about this place.
This is one of those places that everyone should visit at least once. The atmosphere is spectacular and the grounds and tremendously beautiful. I've heard it is utterly beautiful at Christmas. It is adjacent to the Opry Mills Mall which has just about everything you'd ever want to purchase as well.
This place is truly spectacular. It will take you two hours to walk the whole thing...and its a hotel!! Inside are plenty of resturants, shopping mall areas, a river with boat rides, and gorgeous gardens. We adore this place. There is a fee for parking if you chose to stay as a guest, but don't pay it. just park at the mall and walk over. you have to drive through the mall to get to the hotel anyway, so why pay to park in the garage. whether you stay as a guest or not, you must visit this place when you are in nashville...it truly is amazing!!
This hotel is centrally located minutes from other activites. its an amazing sight on the inside as well as out. With lots of different types of rooms for all price ranges. you could spend hours walking through the hotel, or maybe even take one of the many boat rides. its beautiful and entertaining.
