This was enjoyable and a good idea for families with children who are a bit older. I could see younger children getting very bored with this particular activity. It is, however, a really nice way to see an overview of San Diego and just relax and take in the sights.
Two-hour narrated tours of most of the key San Diego sites are available on propane powered vehicles. You can exit and reboard anytime during the day at any of the ten fun stops (such as Balboa Park, Horton Plaza, Gaslamp Quarter, Seaport Village, Embarcadero, Old Town, and Coronado) along the route. This is a wonderful way for the entire family to become acquainted with the city without the hassles of driving and parking your own car. Also available is “Boat on Wheels,” a hydra-amphibious land and sea tour, plus the “Ghosts and Gravestones” tour. Highly recommended.
