"A little seedy....."

During the day, Old Town is just fine for the younger crowd- a few rides, a big farris wheel in the center of town, a old general store with old fashioned pepsi in the bottle, little shops. But at night (especially on the weekends during the car shows) it feels a little seedy. A little rowdy....drinking, loud music, crowded streets. The public bathrooms were also dirty! The plus is that to walk around it's free and it does have that old west feel during the day, but skip the hype at night!

"Definite Pleaser!"

Old Town is a fun, family place. There is something for everyone, including the smaller children. There aren't too many rides, but enough to give enjoyment to those wanting to ride. The tiny bottles of Pepsi for 50 cents was a huge hit with my group! The shops were neat to visit. The old time car show was really awesome! We enjoyed our stay there and have gone back a few times!

"Nice Place"

We decided to spend 1 night away from the theme parks and headed over to Old Town, and it was a great time. There were great restaurant, we ate at Tex Mex and it was great, good prices and amazing food. We then walked around and went in the little shops. The shops were not amazing, a little touristy, but that is what you get in some places. We did not go on any of the rides, but most people seemed to be having fun on them, the sky coaster seemed to be a big hit there and the crowds were decent.

"Its a BLAST from the past!"

The Cruise ins are a blast..and preceeding each one is the ability to view the classic cars up close and personal..The rides there are fun for those who care to take a break from viewing the show...and the Gyros are outta this world. Flippers Pizza is great for the kids. The shops are stocked well with memorabilia from the 50s- 60s and if  you care to dress up ala 50s style..they even have poodle skirts available for girls and women alike. A &W has an ice cream by the scoop shop as well as the usual hot dog and burger fare...which is great for a quick meal before the cruise ins. You never know when Elvis may show up to mingle with the crowd! For teens there is a haunted house  and some really cool tshirt shops. There are some great jewelery shops and even a shop with gems and stones for creating your own masterpiece necklaces and bracelets. Teens will also enjoy the arcade which will offer them hours of fun. Try staying until after dark and you will find a bonus of viewing the Disney fireworks from this fun-packed location!

"Old car show & great midway rides"

Last time we went, and usually when we go, there is a car show of somekind going on throughout Old Town. Kids enjoyed the go carts that were there. Also you cant miss the huge bungee jumper they have or the huge ferris wheel that is fully lite at night. Great food. Great fun. Not overly busy or overly packed any time we have stopped.

"Not that impressive"

I just wasn't that impressed with Old Town. The area is getting a little seedy and the rides seemed cheesey - sort of like a miniature Las Vegas/carnival style. It's a lot of glitz and glamour at night, with big flashy lights, a huge ferris wheel and one of those Sling Shot rides where you're dropped suddenly from a great height. There are go-karts, a carousel and a teacup ride, as well as some shops and restaurants.

On weekends, they host some antique and specialty car shows, so the streets will be very crowded, and Thursday nights are motorcycle night. Weekends also feature bands and live entertainment, so it gets a little noisy.

Yes, there are some rides for young children, but when I was in Kissimmee, I just didn't want to expose my 4-year old child to this type of environment (older kids will probably love it). If you do decide to go, definitely look around in advance for money-saving coupons. You can find them in the local tourist guides, brochures and magazines.

"Low cost alternative..."

...to the high priced Mega-Amusement Park.  No entry fee, pay as you go.  They have typical Carnival type rides, but in the surrounding areas you will find some experiences not for the faint-of-heartz!!!  Ride the Sky Coaster if you dare.  You will be harnessed in and then raised several stories in the air, then released to free fall before the cables glide you into a Superman-like swing.  After that try the SlingShot, where you will be secured in a pod that is shot straight up in the sky several hundred feet and then bungee up and down MANY times.  The ride will be Videod for you as well.  Also, cheaper than the previously mentioned heartstoppers...there is a mechanical bull ride down one of the side streets!!!

"Lots of fun"

They have an arcade, shops, rides, live music food, and bars. When I first got there, I thought I wasn't going to like it. We ended up having so much fun! Sometimes they have special things like car shows, and stuff like that. If your in the Orlando area, and can't spend the money for the big amusement parks Old Town is great. The kids can go on the rides, and play in the arcade. They will still have fun. Especially the younger ones.

"Fun with the Family"

Mom can shop, Dad can eat, and the kids can ride go-karts, a Ferris wheel, a roller coaster, or an antique merry-go-round. Everyone hold hands while visiting the haunted house. A two-hour babysitting service is available in the children’s play zone, Yellow Submarine. Where else can you still get Pepsi for a quarter?
