Park located in the center of town with many flower beds, grassy areas and a water feature. This park is home of the Christmas Village winter land display.
Christmas village in historic Ogden's 25th street is a must do on your holiday checklist. The city has a christmas light parade the week of thanksgiving that leads right to the village where there is a lighting ceremony and fireworks with santa to kick off the christmas holiday. The village is filled with many little village houses that are decorated and funded by local businesses. This holiday favorite is an adventure for all ages. Hot cocoa is available, entertainment is playing, and santa is there to listen to christmas wishes. A wonderful holiday tradition to add to your calandar every year!!!!
If you can handle the cold, you'll want to check this out! There a lots of cute little houses with cute christmas displays. You can visit Santa, too. Night is the most magical time to go, but if you have a group of kids, I'd suggest scheduling a daytime tour with Mrs. Claus. You get a short guided tour and a treat.
Much better than just going to see lit trees. Has little houses everywhere with Christmas scenes from local businesses, charities. A lot of them are the same from year to year but are well done and my boys love it (2 and 4). Last year we went 3 different times.
I went here as a child and it has always been a great family activity. Even good for teenagers.
Taking your children to the Christmas village in Ogden is almost like walking them straight into Santa's workshop. It is an outside village of little houses that your children can walk through and peer into the windows to find scenes of elves working and Santa preparing for Christmas. It is during the winter time and outside so prepare to bundle up and stop for hot cocoa afterwards. This is one you don't want to miss!
The Ogden Christmas Village is starting to become a more high class activity than it used to be. Ogden has done a lot to upgrade the city to attract visitors. They built the Solomon Center just down the street, as well as have put together many events to take place on 25th street. The Christmas Village is a pretty good display of Christmas lights and displays put on by different businesses. If you can find a semi warm night during the holidays, this is a great place for families to see.
The Ogden Municipal turns into a magical land in late November and become Christmas Village! The displays are in cute little buildings and are sponsored by various businesses in the area. The displays are well done and there are lights, lots of lights! This will delight young and old alike. Here is an article regarding this gem in Ogden!
Take the whole family and enjoy the beauty of this wonderful treat for the young and the young at heart!
