First of all, it started pouring down rain when we were in the middle of our tour. The tour was supposed to be narrated but the driver didn't tell us anything about the place. Then, when we got back to the farm, about half an hour into our hour tour she charged us full price even though we got only half of a tour. I would not recommend. Find another carriage ride.
Horses are a recurring theme around town. The area’s 400-plus horse farms raise 10 percent of North America’s thoroughbred race horses and provide some of the hilheaving countryside’s prettiest sights. Highways 441 and 301, and Routes 220, 225, 225A, and 475A are among the most scenic. Some of the farms allow visitors to tour. To tour the countryside by horse and buggy, call Ocala Carriage & Tours. The company offers an hour carriage ride in the country for four, priced at $95. Reservations only.
