The Museum of Arts & Culture has a family activity room with hands-on activities related to the exhibits in the museum. Be sure to check out thefree Discovery Bag at the admissions desk before touring the exhibit galleries. The bag contains great activities that families can do together for each of the exhibits. Whether it is learning about the color wheel while looking at art, searching for artifacts in a scavenger hunt, or sketching American Indian baskets there is something for everyone.
This museum has several interesting and educational exhibits about Spokane's history, as well as the history of the inland northwest. They sometimes have exhibits that appeal to younger children, but mostly this is a school-aged child museum. There are a few things for toddlers to do, but not much!
The MAC plans community events such as ArtFest and Living History Day. Both events include hands-on opportunities for the whole family. In the spring there will be a Da Vinci exhibit. There are plenty of places to eat a picnic lunch or enjoy the museum's cafe. The grounds are beautiful! Here is their website. http://www.northwestmuseum.org/
They really get the kids involved!
