"Shopping Fun!"

We love going to North Park Mall at Christmas time.  They have a great display of model trains.  It does cost to get into the display, but it goes to charity.  There's also other activities like Santa, and Scrooge.  It has been a family tradition of ours for many years.

"Indoor Adventure"

Aaaahhhhh.... North Park Christmas 2010.
We enjoyed the walking.... almost 2 miles.
Hot coco from Starbucks...a tradition.
The Christmas decorations and window shopping were beautiful.
The boys found a couple of Christmas ornaments @ 40% off at Anthropolgy.
(another Christmas tradition)
Some Peppermint Bark at Williams Sonoma. hmmm.....maybe the boys and I can learn to make this stuff. We love it sooooo...much.
Grabbed some floral print folders at Vera Bradley...on sale!
We ate a fabulous lunch at LaDuni. The boys love their brisket tacos.
Then popped into the AMC for an afternoon movie.
By the time we got out of the AMC, it was time for a cool drink and a good snack.
We headed to the bar at Maggio's. Big tables. Great snack menu. Very festive for the holiday.
Another North Park adventure...till next year

"Art, shopping, kids events"

If you are from out of town (50miles or more away from Dallas) go to their website and click visitor information then special offers.  Print the page as directed and take to the malls concierge to get your copy of their Guest Rewards Booklet--it has tons of coupons for stores and restaurants (bring your drivers license or state id that has your current address to prove your an out of towner).  We didn't use all the coupons, but we used quite a few and saved some big money.
Besides the upscale shops the mall has a branch of the Dallas Public Library called Bookmarks (as mentioned by other reviewers).  I think this is a great idea and I'd like to see it done at other malls.
The mall is child friendly, which you normally don't see at the upscale shopping areas, so it was a nice change.  This mall seems to offer tons of events year round that are worth checking into if you're local (and for the days you'll be in town).  The activities range from kids workshops, holiday events, and yoga.
We loved the art and dancing fountain.  The art is mostly modern which I think kept the atmoshpere fun and upbeat.

"Mall!"

This is a very nice mall. They have many stores to shop at. I love coming here because there is stuff that the kids can do as well as me and my husband. They have sales and lots of clearance stuff throughout the stores. It saves me some money at least. I love this mall it is a lifesaver!

"Shopping heaven for moms. Fun activities for kids. "

Even though I'm not a big shopper, during our week stay in Dallas, we went to this mall several times and my 2 year old never wanted to leave each time. The NorthPark Mall is one of the two high-end malls in Dallas. It's got the creme de la creme shops like my favorite Anthropolgie.

It's got huge walking areas for younger toddlers to enjoy running through and other fun spots like Bookmarks (the only children’s library I've ever encountered in a mall). Talk about getting your stroller moms out in droves. At Bookmarks, you’ll find a variety of free programs from story/music hours to puppet shows for kids ranging from babies to kids in elementary school. My 2 year old was the oldest at the Baby Bounce Basics at 12:30 on Mon/Thu/Fri, but just loved rocking out to all of his favorite kiddie songs there. Other weekly programs include their Tickles for Toddlers (Thursdays at 2pm), Preschool Palooza (Fridays at 2pm), and Krafty Kids (Sunday at 2pm).

Other popular kiddie spots are the turtle/duck pond and the dancing fountain. There are also a variety of seasonal events throughout the year that all our Dallacite friends said are local favorites.

The artwork in the museum is phenomenal - from Calder to Warhol, there's no lack of famous modern artwork for adults to enjoy. A truly unique mall experience that's just more than shopping.

"Great for train lovers!"

My 3 year old is really into trains right now, so we had to take him to the train show at the Northpark Mall when we were visiting my mom.  It's a little more expensive that I would have though ($5 for adults, $3 for kids) but it was worth it.  They have so many different tracks and trains, buildings and bridges, etc.  There's even a few Thomas trains in the mix!

"Holiday Trains at Northpark Mall"

Took my 2.5 year old son to see this  train exhibit in Northpark Mall around Christmas time.   He enjoyed seeing all the trains. The exhibit was quite intricate, you started out first in San Francisco, then to Mount Rushmore, then to the Dallas, the Missippi River, and then to Washington D.C. and New York.  There were minature cities, people, and houses as well as the Trains.  My son enjoyed himself (esp when he saw Thomas) although he was scared of the statue of liberty at the end.
The Trains usually run from November to the beginning of January.  Proceeds go to the Ronald McDonald House.
Also after the trains we went to go see the Holiday puppet show in the mall.  2.5 years was a little young but kids a little older seemed to have a blast.
