North Shore Music Theater

This professional theater-in-the-round was founded by Stephen Slane as a summerstock theater presenting touring productions. Today, the North Shore Music Theater produces all of its own musical productions in-house and is the largest nonprofit theater in New England.

After a devastating fire in 2005 damaged the seats and the stage, the North Shore Music Theater has risen like a phoenix with a beautiful new interior. The new 1,500-seat space has more legroom and better sightlines to see the Music Theater's amazing array of productions, featuring Broadway musicals, celebrity concerts, new works, one-man shows, and children's theatrical productions.

A highly regarded Youth Academy trains young people in voice, acting, dance, and vocal techniques. The North Shore Music Theater is extremely popular, and many shows sell out quickly, so be proactive if a title catches your eye!
