Nitt Witt's Ridge

Wow, a visit to Nitt Witt's Ridge is a true example of turning junk into treasure!  It's amazing what one person can see as trash, another can fashion into artwork, or a house!  Nitt Witt's Ridge is a house built over 50 years ago out of trash, recycled products, beer cans, and shells.  As a kid I was fascinated with this house and how inventive Art Beal was in creating it.  Even though I don't necessarily condone keeping trash and junk myself, I can definitely appreciate his vision.  You can now even tour the terraces, staircases and sculptures for $10 for adults and $5 for kids, but call the current owners first at 805-927-2690.
