This center area of the mall of america has been other themes in the past, but the big rides don't change. This is a nice place to go and get some sunny fun. The rides are a little pricey and the lines can be long on the weekends in the winter. But it is a nice warm thing to do during the cold MN months.
The kids have a lot of fun there, and the best thing is that you can go all year around and stay 'till late. We have been there a lot of times and the kids don't get bored. They also have different characters that you can go and take pics with your child.
Great for rainy or cold days! We have visited the amusement park twice now. For one price, you can ride all day and it's nice knowing the rides are all in one location. If your child needs a lot of variety, probably not the best choice - ours think this place is a blast plus they have a fondness for the Nickelodeon characters. My husband and I took turns enjoying the mall itself while the other was with the kids. Definetly an all day trip for us!
We've walked through this amusement park many times, since back in the days when it was called Camp Snoopy and then The Park at MOA. When we decided to spend a whole day here with the kids, we weren't sure there were enough rides to keep us busy. We were pleasantly surprised.
On a Spring Break Friday, meaning busy but not outrageously crowded, it took us six hours to go on most of the rides once. That included kiddie rides and all but the extremest of the thrill rides. After that, we circled back to go on our favorites again.
One good thing about this park is that kids at 47 or 48" can go on most of the rides; and after 39" they're not restricted from too many. At Valleyfair, my son couldn't go on most of the roller coasters but here he could.
We liked that it was indoors, so there were no weather worries, and that we could go eat anywhere we wanted with the entire mall surrounding us.
Fans of big coasters might be disappointed because of the height restrictions of an indoor park, but there are three good coasters, a flume ride, and a lot of other rides. The tot-sized bumper cars were also a treat for the kids, who are usually too small for bumper cars.
The all-day wristbands go for $30 but you can usually find coupons or buy a combined-attraction pass that includes other nearby fun.
