This 6,000-square-foot museum features one of the world’s largest collections of sports memorabilia, assembled
in fi
fteen themed rooms containing 10,000 items.
Highlights include jerseys from Michael Jordan, Larry Bird, Dr. J, and Wilt Chamberlain; and autographed baseballs from every Cy Young winner. There’s even a baseball park with actual seats from places such as Yankee Stadium and Wrigley Field! The collection started in 1953 when John W. Hamilton, at the age of twelve, was given a “Look All-American Football” by a family friend. Hamilton has been collecting sports memorabilia ever since, with the majority of the items being personally given to him by athletes.
