This is a great place to go to see boats in the river. Choose a sunny day and go for lunch and it won't be as expensive to eat, or pack a picnic and eat on one of the many benches along the landing. For children with a shorter attention span, I'd recommend staying no longer than an hour or two as besides watching the river action, there's not much else to do.
The landing in Newburgh is a wonderful place to spend the day walking and playing with the kids. Stop for a bite to eat at any one of the wonderful restaurants along the river. Fish off the pier or take a rise on The River Rose, Newburghs famous river boat.
This park is the site of numerous special events and festivals designed for children. On Tuesday and Friday from 10am to 6pm, the Farmers’ Market offers an opportunity to stock up on the wide variety of foods grown in the area, and you can also cruise the river aboard the Pride of the Hudson.
