"For a Sunny Day..."

This is a great place to go to see boats in the river. Choose a sunny day and go for lunch and it won't be as expensive to eat, or pack a picnic and eat on one of the many benches along the landing. For children with a shorter attention span, I'd recommend staying no longer than an hour or two as besides watching the river action, there's not much else to do.

"A nice stroll"

The landing in Newburgh is a wonderful place to spend the day walking and playing with the kids. Stop for a bite to eat at any one of the wonderful restaurants along the river. Fish off the pier or take a rise on The River Rose, Newburghs famous river boat.

"Fun with the Family"

This park is the site of numerous special events and festivals designed for children. On Tuesday and Friday from 10am to 6pm, the Farmers’ Market offers an opportunity to stock up on the wide variety of foods grown in the area, and you can also cruise the river aboard the Pride of the Hudson.

"Pride of the Hudson Sightseeing Cruise"

After a school trip cruise on the Hudson River on the ship Pride of the Hudson several years ago it has become a yearly family outing as well as entertaining guests from out of town. The views and narration of Bannerman Castle, Storm King Mt., Breakneck Mt., Cold Spring and more as well as a snack bar and bar. We are having my daughter's Sweet Sixteen party aboard the ship this year. The crew is friendly and the ship is comfortable.
