"For book lovers"

The library is basically what it is.  The main library where the lions guard the front basically hold reference books.  The smaller library about a block and 1/2 away is used by most.  Great location not far from Bryant Park and shopping at Lord & Taylor.

"Fun with the Family"

Guarded by the literary lions Patience and Fortitude, this Beaux Arts building houses one of the finest research libraries in the world. Barrel-vaulted ceilings and cool mable staircases lead to the breathtaking Rose Reading Room. Nearly as long as a fooball field and 52 feet high, the Rose Reading Room is truly one of the great public spaces, with polished oak tables, glowing brass lamps, Tintoretto-type clouds on a gilded ceiling.
