"New York Hall of Science"

So it's a schlep out to 111th in Queens on the subway without elevators, but inside is wonderful, especially once the school busses leave.  I went with my 6 year old and 2 year old and both had fun and may have even learned a thing or two, I sure did.  There are three floors of hands on science experiments and play to interact with.  We missed the outside water play areas due to the weather but they look like it would be worth a second trip next time we are in NYC.

"Lots of fun had at the New York Hall of Science"

This is a great play to take the kids, especially on cold, rainy days like the ones we've been having lately in NYC. There tons to do. The second level has tons of exhibits in place, they host educational demonstrations, have a party room for birthdays, and have a slew of interactive themes and shows throughout. On the other side of the Science Hall is the library, as well as a play area for smaller children.

The New York Hall of Science often hosts events as well.

We spent a good portion of our day here on our last visit and had a wonderful time.  I still felt that we didn’t cover all there was to see and do, and now with new upcoming exhibitions, there is even more to discover in our next visit.

But if it’s a nicer day, and the kids are STILL feeling restless, there is also a playground, The Corona Golf Playground,  right across the avenue from the New York Hall of Science, which we also visited and really complimented our day out.

"Fun with the Family"

Explore more than 180 interactive exhibits that investigate the world of color, light, biology, optical illusions, physics, energy, and more. The friendly guides perform experiments and regular demonstrations, and on one visit the staff dissected a cow’s eyeball, much to my sons’ fascination. Preschoolers will enjoy explorations and story time at their own Discovery Place. Outside is the Science Playground, the largest physically interactive jungle gym on this side of the planet.
