Finding Nemo – The Musical is a 30-minute Broadway-style musical stage showfor audiences of all ages in the air-conditioned Theater in the Wild in the DinoLand U.S.A. area at Disney's Animal Kingdom theme park .
Usually my family doesn't care as much about the shows when we go to Disney World, but we decided to give this one a shot. We are so glad that we did! It was absolutely adorable! The costumes and special effects were total eye-candy and the singers were fantastic. We couldn't believe how well-done this performance was. It followed the storyline of the movie pretty well, but was slightly condensed. This show is great for all ages!
This is a fantastic show for any age. It tells the whole story of Nemo but you feel like you are in the movie. There is movement and lights all around you. My 3 yr old was mesmerized the entire show. I would say that the bubbles are the best part of the show, you really feel underwater. This is a can't miss show!
"Puppet show" doesn't begin to describe this phenomenal performance. The costumes are beautiful, the story is exciting and interesting (even though you know what is going to happen). I had cold chills and my 4 year old daughter LOVED every minute of it. My 2 year old son was too afraid of the spooky music and shark scenes, so he had to leave, but for most kids and adults, this is a must-see! Get in line early ... it does fill up!
Nemo the Musical is a little different from most of the other shows at Disney. The cast carries the "characters" around like puppets, at first it really distracted me. I kept on staring at the people and not paying attention to the characters in the show. After a while and maybe about half way through the show I was able to see past them and enjoy it. This is a great show to see if you are hot and tired! Its inside in the air conditioning :)
My 3 year old daughter loves the movie, so I figured we'd try the musical. She absolutely loved it! She's really into music, so she liked all the singing. The costumes were great, too. My daughter keeps asking when she can go back and see it again because she loved it so much!
This musical is amazing. I love every song and it's amazing that this original music was not in the film because it flows so seamlessly. The puppetry is wonderful and is weird at first, but once you get used to it you learn to love it. The talent is incredible and I am always disappointed when we don't have time to see this show. Be sure to see this at Animal Kingdom before you go to Epcot and ride the Nemo ride. You'll be singing all the songs along the way. :)
This show is absolutely amazing. We have been bac kfrom our WDW trip for over a month now and my daughter still talks about the Nemo Show at Animal Kingdom. It is truly a work of art that is unequaled to probably even on Broadway and I can't wait to return to see the show and the performers again. How they manage to do this show over and over in a single day- it is just amazing. My daughter loved MR. Ray and all the friends of Nemo- but it was equally amazing and enjoyable for adults as well- don't miss it!
This musical was simply fantastic! We have a 1, 3, and 5 year old, and they loved it. Granted, the 1 year old did get antsy, but then they would start singing and dancing, and he would get mesmerized again. The older 2 simply loved it! I liked how it followed a similar plot as the movie, but changed up the songs to give it something fresh.
Kids love Nemo, but the show at Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park is not as popular with kids! The Finding Nemo - The Musical at Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park is amazing to watch. The puppets, the music, the scenes are simply amazing. However, it is a very long show or at least it seems that way for kids. We have tested this show many times with kids of all ages and every time they want to leave about half way through the show. It is a great show to see once, but most of the kids like it for just a "little bit".
My 3-year old daughter sat through this show completely fascinated. It is such a spectacle of bright colors and amazing special effects, done in true Disney style.
Before the show begins, kids will enjoy searching for Nemo, who appears in various bubbles periodically on the left and right sides of the stage. Then the performance begins. At first, it is a little disconcerting because you can see the puppeteer dressed in black, standing right next to Nemo (or whichever character he is manipulating), and the puppeteer is obviously using his voice to make the character speak (not like a ventriloquist, who tries to hide the fact that his mouth is moving). But a few minutes into the show, you simply get caught up in the amazing theatrical performance and forget all about the puppeteers even being there.
This show is truly Not To Be Missed when you are at the Animal Kingdom. Do whatever you have to do to arrive early and get a good seat. You and your children will be very glad you did!
I've been to Disneyworld every single year since 1999, and I can bet that I've been on pretty much every single attraction and seen basically every show, if not all of them. There's something different about Nemo, it was just above all the rest! It felt like I was sitting at a Broadway show and the sets and costumes were fantastic! Please go if you have the chance.
Having gone to DisneyWorld at the end of February, we did not have the long line issues that others seemed to have during high season. We basically walked right in and got decent seats as well. My kids were 9, 7, and 3 when we went. All three liked the show. It was just long enough to be interesting w/o being too much for them. Nice to sit and just be entertained after all the walking you do in the park.
Watch the movie before you go and your kids will remember the story better. It's a great movie and the show here is good as well. You'll want to put it on your list of things to do in Animal Kingdom. I especially liked it since I am a ride wimp, so anything other than rides is high on my list.
My daughter thought the ending was great where real bubbles come out. Big thumbs up in my kids' book for that effect. It's not loud or scary either, so even little kiddos will like it. My 3-yr-old thought it was neat and sat through it without a lot of fuss, which that alone is worth its weight in gold! Enjoy the show!!
Our preschooler loved the colorful scenery, music, dancing fish and the way Nemo swam around on stage. The grown ups also loved the show because it is clever, creative and the costumes are fun! This is one of the most popular attractions in the park so plan ahead! We did see long lines earlier in the day so we waited and hoped for the best. It paid off! We were lucky and were able to walk right in to the last show of the day.
We arrived 30 minutes before show time, as recommended, and we were far back in line, but not too bad. When we entered, we saw that we were already too late for decent seats. We had bench seating, piled one on top of the other. The theater holds so many more than were in line in front of us, so I'm guessing either there are multiple entrances or the lines keep entering over time before the start of the show. The show was wonderful, but sitting on a bench for the duration, with a preschooler on my lap and a backpack on my back was not the most comfortable experience.
It was awesome, great show. AK is a great park too! My kids had a hard time choosing which park was their fav. Go early, this show fills up fast. Get your seats and then have one parent do bathroom breaks just outside the righthand door before the show as there is a pretty long wait time while they fill up the ampitheater.
This show was the ONLY reason we got the park hopper pass we knew we didnt want to waste a day in animal kingdom and my son is a nemo fanantic! the show is performed with puppets. It includes songs and characters from the movie Finding Nemo. Very entertaining , good story and great puppet animation. My son whos 2 loved it as we expected! He laughed the whole time! It is help indoors so it is a nice way to get out of the heat in the middle of the day. get there early for a good seat!
