Nauset Light

"One of the few lights that kids can tour"

We came upon this lighthouse when wandering the Cape Cod National Seashore.  Most light houses will not allow children to climb up inside due to insurance reasons.  Fortunately, this one allows and encourages children to visit!  The volunteers manning the light were very friendly and helpful.  It is free to enter the light, but you can make a donation to the preservation society.  The staircase to the top is steep and sharply curved, as one would expect of a lighthouse.  It is easiest to have one adult per child so everyone makes it up and down safely.  There is a path from the Nauset Light up the street to the Three Sisters Lights.
