Bike, hike, fish, or swim at Myles Standish State Forest, just a twenty-minute drive from Plymouth. The 14,635-acre park was Massachusetts’s first state forest when it was created in 1916.
There are 16 miles of quiet walking trails, bike and horseback riding paths, fifteen ponds (two are designated for swimming; the rest are for fishing), and lots of picnic spots in the forests and meadows. There are 416 tent/RV sites (no hookups) with restrooms and hot showers, plus fireplaces and picnic tables at each site. For  reservations call (877) I-CAMP-MA
or (877) 422-6762.
