"Five miles of beach to explore!"

Mustang Island State Park has all the ingredients for a variety of interesting birds. It's one of my favorite beaches, since it's a state park it's better maintained than some of the other public beaches where people do what they want and don't dispose of their trash properly. It's certainly an area worth checking out!

"A regular day at the beach"

We have family in Corpus Christi so we visit at least once a year.  We decided to take a trip to down there around Easter and although the weather was still cool it was nice.  This beach can get crowed in the summer and therefore polluted.  It also has seasons of lots of seaweed and lots of jellyfish so check conditions before heading out there.  It’s nice but it’s nothing special… just a regular day at the beach in TX in the Gulf of Mexico.

"Fun with the Family"

The 3,700-acre Mustang Island State Park is very popular with Texans. In addition to its pristine beaches, it has campsites, shower facilities, and hiking trails.

"Texas beaches "au natural""

The state doesn't beautify the beach for visitors and that means that the beach often has a layer of washed-up seaweed a foot deep between the sand and the water.  The kids still enjoyed the water and there were "paths" carved by people who wanted to get to the water without walking on the seaweed.  They told us that the seaweed isn't always a problem but we've seen seaweed all the times we've been.  I like I B Magee Park better because the county keeps it nicer for visitors.
