"Fun!"

Another great stop in Dallas!  My son is a train fanatic, so he really enjoyed exploring all of the old train cars they have on display.  It's located in fair park, so it's easy to check out the railroad museum when you're at the museum of nature and science.  Definitely stop here if you have train lovers in your family!

"A Way to Spend the Day"

We attended a birthday party here and until then, I didn't even know this place existed. It's nestled right in the middle of downtown Dallas. Very interesting to see the locomotives and various types of trains. You only get to go inside a few but the staff is very knowledgable in telling details about the trains.

"Fun with the Family"

The Museum of the American Railroad preserves old locomotives, cars, and memorabilia. The museum has recently added a collection of postwar lightweight passenger equipment to complement its prewar passenger train. Over thirty pieces of historic railroad equipment including steam, diesel and electric locomotives, cabooses , historic structures, signals and assortment of small artifacts make it one of the finest railroad museums in the southwest United States. The museum also features a steam calliope and whistle display. The gift shop is housed in the restored 1905 Houston and Texas Central Depot
