"Great museum for art-minded kids"

If you have a child art enthusiast, be sure to stop by this hip museum in downtown.

Bright colors and unique impressions await as you explore contemporary art with your budding Jackson Pollack.

Be sure to check with the docent before buying tickets as some exhibits might represent a more mature theme than you expected.

Studio Sundays offer FREE hands on art workshops and interesting exhibits designed JUST FOR FAMILIES!!  (1st sunday of each month)

Children 12 & under are always FREE!!

"Amazing art"

It is an art museum, so it is not a big surprise that small kids are not the easiest to bring here.  For my younger ones, this is just an exercise in frustration for me because they have a hard time not running, yelling, or wanting to touch.  As a teenager, I loved going here.  Some parents may want to preview a room before taking children under 13 through since there are some adult themes in some of the works.

"Fun with the Family"

Kids will find the often outrageous and totally unexplainable artwork here to be, well, mysterious. Many people do! The eclectic, always changing, never boring collections range from the cute to the controversial. Kids can roam at will through the museumto see an artistic show, including enormous multimedia sculptures, unpredictable creations of various shapes and sizes, and monochromatic paintings of nothing much at all.
