"Fun museum!"

This was a nice place to visit and unlike most museums I've been to, the planetarium was included in the price of admission!  The planetarium and laser show were of great interest to my six and eight year olds.  They also loved the children's section with lots of hands on activities.

We adults liked the Coca-Cola displays and the old trains outside.  There is a giant sloth skeleton that is 13 feet tall!

"Fun with the Family"

This attraction will surprise you with its many layers of enrichment possibilities. Centered on the ninety-acre Tuscawilla Preserve, its approach to discovery is holistic. For the wee ones, there’s a 13-foot-tall skeleton of a 130,000-year-old giant ground sloth and the skeleton of a huge armadillo ancestor, plus the museum’s drawers and showcases full of other fossils. Older children will enjoy the free world’s largest Cuban art collection, Indian artifacts, and exhibits from thirty different African cultures. Other components range from changing displays of fine art to hikes through coastal hammock environment and shows in the planetarium.
