"Great first time spot"

We wanted our first time camping with our 2 year old to be somewhat close in case it didn't work out and Mount Madonna was perfect!  The campsites were generously sized and plenty to choose from.  The bathrooms were very clean and they do have showers available but they are kind of far from most spots.
Plenty of little hiking trails that are easy for kids, and it is a beautiful view!

If you forget something there are grocery stores just a couple miles away!

"Great campground"

We have been coming here at least once a year for the last 6 years. It is a very nice campground, with large spaces and clean bathrooms...they even have hot showers. Because of the size, you can camp as rustic or as "pampered" as you like. They have spaces  for large RV's and a dump-station. I think the best part of this campground is its proximity to several coast activities. In 10 minutes you can be at the raceway in Watsonville. Within another 10 minutes from there, there are several wonderful beaches to choose from. The boardwalk in Santa Cruz is only about thirty minutes from the campground with amusement rides, arcades and live entertainment. After a long day at the boardwalk, it is nice to come back to a nice quiet campground and sit around the fire under the stars.
